Little Star's Story
An adorable nativity musical for KS1 that is simple to prepare, yet it has plenty for the whole cast to do and enjoy. The songs are sweet and very easy to teach, and two versions of the script are included - one for age 6 to 9, the other for age 5 to 7 (simplified). A read aloud story is included to help you introduce the content to the children.
One night, all the stars in the sky are very excited because the King of Kings has been born. Little Star says she’s going to do something really big to welcome such an important baby – but all the other stars laugh. ‘You’re too small to do something big!’ they say. ‘Maybe they’re right’, she thinks, but it doesn’t stop her from setting out to find a really special present for the baby.
Little Star goes north, south, west and east, looking for that special gift, but finds nothing good enough for the King of Kings. Miserably, she gives up. ‘The other stars were right. I am too small to do anything properly.’ What she didn’t know was that, while she was travelling back and forth to Bethlehem, lots of people had been following her! Compared to the sun and moon, Little Star might shine only a tiny bit of light, but she has brought everyone to the stable where Jesus was born!"I have just returned from watching the inaugural performance of Little Star’s Story, and to say I am exhilarated is an understatement! It was delightful, lively and fun, perfect for KS1, the traditional story but handled in a modern way. It kept all the children engaged and participating throughout… I really felt that their understanding of the whole story must have been improved with this production." ~ Carollyn Stanbridge - Chair of Governors, Heathfield.

We loved the songs, especially the last one! The story was from an interesting viewpoint and the children all understood how it built up to the end scene with everyone together. Very good!Lovely songs.

Review by Dionne Kennard - Teacher, Willingdon
The script allows all the children to take part and we loved the songs, especially Little Star’s solo. The read-aloud story was a bonus, as it’s a great way to introduce the musical to the children. Highly recommended.Well received
Review by Pam Jones - Teacher, Cheltenham
The songs are very good – and very easy to teach. The story line was appropriate and – using the simplified version – it was manageable for our Yr 1 & 2, and well received by the audience.
